he Petitioner, Texas Health and Human Services Commission (THHSC), is a Texas state agency headquartered at 4900 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas. Operating as a nonprofit entity under the governance of the State of Texas, the Petitioner seeks to streamline organizational structures, eliminate duplicative administrative systems, and more effectively and efficiently deliver health and human services to residents of the State of Texas. The Petitioner fosters opportunity and economic prosperity by focusing on critical priorities. The Petitioner promotes, through education, research, and clinical care, the health, responsibility, and self-sufficiency of individuals and families. Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.
