The Program Supervisor I, Campus/Shift Coordinator Supervisor, performs routine administrative and supervisory level work to ensure that the campus/shift coordinators are effectively coordinating and overseeing activities and ensuring facility-wide staff coverage at the SSLC, taking into account the changing levels of supervision required by individuals. Provides leadership and plans, assigns and supervises the daily activities of the campus/shift coordinators. Develops work schedules for campus/shift coordinators and prioritizes their areas of focus. Ensures the campus/shift coordinators continuously monitors the homes, infirmary, activity centers, and grounds, watching for unusual occurrences. Assists them in addressing emergencies and incidents immediately upon discovery or notification. Ensures that care, treatment, and support activities are ongoing at the facility. Hires, trains, and promotes professional growth of the employees within the department so that a competent workforce is maintained. Provides coaching and in-service training to staff when needed. Confers with campus/shift coordinators to ensure adequate staff coverage, appropriately resolve any personnel issues, and ensure client protections are in place. Monitors the use of restraints. Summarizes daily issues, concerns and incidents for further review. Proactively identifies issues and provides solutions, including ideas for improving staff deployment and reducing overtime. Assists management in developing guidelines and procedures for effective staff deployment and SSLC coverage. Works closely and collaboratively with administrative/supervisory staff to coordinate and monitor service delivery, conducting special targeted reviews or audits of identified areas when requested. Works under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services (DRS) or other appropriate supervisor depending upon the organizational structure of the SSLC. This position is required to drive a state-owned vehicle.
