The Nurse II (Clinical Coordinator) performs complex (journey-level) nursing work that involves providing for the assessment, care, and treatment of patients. They are responsible for providing activities that support the mission of the program and the State Hospital. Participates in program development, maintenance, and clinical oversight. Conducts nursing audits to ensure on-going compliance with standards of care. Participates in the development of nursing specific program policies and procedures. Prepares the monthly nursing schedules. Participates in the hiring process and serves as a preceptor for newly hired RNs/LVNs. The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical RN coverage, as assigned by the Nurse Manager. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a member of the Performance Improvement Team (PIT). Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and
independent judgement.

Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of
Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
