The Manager ll/Support Services Director performs highly responsible administrative, support, and technical duties and supervises the daily operations of Maintenance, Housekeeping, CAFM, Security and Reception Services. Work involves establishing Support Services goals and objectives; developing Support Services guidelines, plans, procedures, policies, schedules, priorities, and budget requests. Must establish performance improvement initiatives and monitor for achievement. Responsible for Environmental Risk Management and Life Safety programs at the hospital. Overall responsibility for all Joint Commission environment of care standards. This position must be highly knowledgeable in HVAC, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical and other required maintenance specialties in order to understand and arrange for various project completions within reasonable cost. Work is performed under limited supervision from the Assistant Superintendent and involves providing direct support, assistance and guidance for departments that report to the position. Work is performed within the limits of established policies and procedures and is subject to review through reports, evaluations, as well as surveys.
This employee will perform supervisory duties through assigning and evaluating the work of others. Normally works 8-5, M-F; flex hours can apply to this position to provide support and training for various work shifts of employees as well as responding to maintenance and support requirements and emergencies. Travel and overtime are required.
