Job Description:
This is a temporary position from January 29 through May 31, 2026.
The spring internship is open to current college students who are interested in learning about state government administration and procurement and contract management practices and procedures, while gaining valuable experience working for the State of Texas. This position provides support to the Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division. The spring intern position may assist with special projects and assignments for the division's various procurement teams, marketing and outreach, and communications.
Other duties may also be assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assists with marketing and communication assignments.
Maintains confidential records, files, and/or information.
Communicates on a basic level with others to provide, exchange, or verify information.
May assist in preparing reports and/or other communications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Basic knowledge of office procedures.
Basic knowledge of computers and standard office software applications.
Skill in the operation of computer and general office equipment.
Ability to read, comprehend, and apply instructions.

Must be currently enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university.
