Brief Job Description:
Compliance Reviewer
Under the direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Program Compliance Manager, reviews certification, licensure, and all other long-term care onsite visit reports for compliance with state laws, regulations, and policies and procedures with a primary focus of ICF. Assures reports follow established protocols and are accurately documented. Participates in review committees, prepare analysis of data for review and identification of staff training needs. Is responsible for assessing compliance using CMS standards and preparing rebuttals as needed. May be preparing and presenting training information to groups of people. Participates in side by side and comparative surveys to provide consultation and assess compliance with state laws, regulations, policies and procedures in a field environment.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
Maintains a regular and predictable work schedule.
Performs advanced technical and professional reviews for certification surveys, licensure inspections, and investigations conducted in long term care facilities, with a primary focus of ICF, to determine compliance with state/federal requirements and protocols, and Long Term Care-Regulatory policies and procedures.
Performs in-depth analysis of qualitative and quantitative program-specific data.
Performs onsite side by side and comparative surveys to gather data and assess compliance with policies and procedures.
Interprets statistical evidence and develops work plans, reports, and documentary support for program development and assessment.
Assess the completion, the accuracy, and quality of survey and inspection activities, reports, and decisions.
All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of the ICF program area in Long Term Care Regulatory
Knowledge of the principles and methods of field inspection, field investigation, law enforcement, or quality control from ICF Long-Term Care program area. Experience monitoring compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program area.
Ability to work as a member of a management team.
Ability to organize workloads and set priorities to meet deadlines and function with minimal supervision.
Ability to prepare concise reports.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Skill in using Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.

Initial Screening Criteria:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience interpretting local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program ICF LTCR program. Experience surveying or investigating ICF facilities overseen by Long-Care Regulatory program.
Additional Information:
Ability to travel occasionally 45% (i.e., monthly) for activities such as side-by-side and comparative surveys, out-of-town meetings, training sessions or conduct survey activities if needed.
