The Lead Behavior Analyst provides advanced clinical and supervisory services and works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Monitors the training and clinical supervision of those working towards Texas licensure as behavior analysts. Responsible for the professional development of Behavioral Health Specialists, including training related to applied behavior analysis service delivery. May serve as the department director/manager, which includes managing department business functions and supervising other members of the department. Coordinates and oversees technical consultation to behavior health staff on residents with complex high-risk behaviors that require complex behavior interventions. Responsible for developing and maintaining advanced data systems to comply with Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Department of Justice (DOJ) requirements, including crisis intervention and restraint use. Coordinates, evaluates, and approves functional behavioral assessments and behavior support plans. Evaluates the implementation of behavior support plans through personal observation and review of documentation. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, departmental and agency policy and for overseeing the development and implementation of systems and procedures to meet the standards and requirements therein. The work schedule varies upon request or as needed.
