Performs routine (journey-level) administrative support or technical program assistance work as the facility Property Coordinator. Work involves disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, and performing internal administrative support work. Organizes and manages a large facility property asset inventory, maintaining both computer and hard filing systems, inventory control measures and accounting. Acts as a DADS facility liaison to agency state office personnel, other agency personnel, with facility staff, and with the general public. May train others. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Performs stock handling and record keeping methods. Creates and/ or maintains existing database inventory files and records. Performs clerical work and prepares reports related to inventory, stock control, and warehouse activities, Reviews stock control records and identifies stock level replenishment requirements for purchasing, Establishes scheduling and coordination for equipment and/or inventory transfers of surplus property. Plans the arrangement and rotation of stock as required and identifies obsolete and/or excess inventory. Completes annual & quarterly inventory of equipment/assets and documents/reports accountability. Interfaces with facility inventory satellite personnel to ensure physical inventories are being accomplished. Plans, organizes, accomplished completion of annual internet auctions, working with an assigned internet auction vendor, and with the general public awarded bidders to ensure accounting and proper pick-up of purchased auction items. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.
Skill in the use of standard office equipment and software.
Ability to implement administrative procedures; to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; and to communicate effectively.
Registrations, Licensure Requirements or Certifications:
Must possess valid Texas driver's license or obtain it no later than 90 days after hire date. Applicants with an out-of-state driver's license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure. Eligible driving record required based on HHSC Fleet Management policy.
Initial Screening Criteria:
Experience in inventory control methods, equipment/asset physical inventory, clerical work in a business office setting, basic accounting, developing and maintaining filing systems, Microsoft computer programs.
Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred.
Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.

Applicants must pass a fingerprint criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks including the Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Nurse Aide, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct and HHS List of Excluded Individuals/ Entities (LEIE).

All State Supported Living Center Employees are subject to Random Drug Testing.
Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position. The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
