The Administrative Assistant IV will report directly to the Director of Quality Assurance Field Services (QAFS). This position performs highly complex administrative support work for the QAFS area. Support work involves distributing and managing correspondence and information, as well as maintaining and organizing files, records, and calendars.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Conducts validation of assignments/projects to determine accuracy and assist in identifying section, unit and/or reviewer trends.
Oversees the completion of and monitors required performance reports and recommends appropriate changes.
Collects, organizes, and/or analyzes research findings from studies performed to identify areas requiring improvement and prepares comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations.
Oversees projects and assignments section to ensure monitoring and data collection activities meet the needs of the section, agency, and state.
Provides guidance to staff in procedural and policy issues which may include activities such as obtaining interpretations, conducting trainings, preparing and delivering presentation, and assisting with staff development.
Performs related work as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of SNAP, TANF, Texas Works Medicaid and/or Medicaid for the Elderly and People with Disabilities policies and procedures.
Knowledge of agency policies, operating methods, and procedures.
Knowledge or organizational operations.
Skill in operating computers and applicable computer software.
Skill in organization, analysis, and problem solving.
Skill in report production.
Ability to establish, plan, and organize assigned work and monitor production goals.
Ability to work independently and make independent judgments.

Initial Screening Criteria:
Education equivalent to a high school degree is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office Programs.
Experience in customer service preferred.
Experience in administrative support work preferred.
Must be willing to travel approximately 20% of the time to attend trainings and meetings.
